Lendock King is the former king of the Gabranth and father of Leowald, who still thinks of him with the deepest admiration and respect. He was wise and compassionate as well as a great warrior.
His right hand man was Gareos König, who was the leader of the Three Warriors. Gareos had three children his daughter Blansa and two war orphans he had adopted Nerei and her little brother Kokurou. The four children (with Leowald) became great friends and grew up together.
Leowald and Kokurou both grew up to be powerful warriors who greatly distinguished themselves in the war with the Humas. Both girls wound up aiming to be Leowald's wife.
A horrible deadly disease struck Pasion, though it thankfully spread no further. Yuhito was able to come up with a cure but the key ingredient was quite rare and hard to find. Still they had the disease almost eliminated until Blansa and Nerei got sick at the same time, and there was only one dose of the cure left.
Lendock was torn by indecision, he wanted to save the girls but could not pull a large number of men from the front lines to search as a war was still going on. Gareos decided to go by himself to find the herb. He did make it back in the end, battered and bruised, but he was too late, Nerei had died.
Kokurou was unhinged by the death of his sister and murdered Gareos on the spot before going on a massive killing spree. He had betrayed his own kind as no Gabranth ever had before. Lendock tried to stop him but he too was overwhelmed by his incredible aura and power. Lendock later died of his injuries, leading Leowald to become king.
